My Biggest Failure

After countless, long summer days, my best friend, Melina and I both dreaded to go back to school as Sophomores. We had known each other ever since the fourth grade and everyone around us such as our peers and family members had known us to be inseparable. She basically lived with my family and I. My parents would also refer to her as “our adopted daughter.” We coordinated our outfits to dress alike, began running track together, and as we got a bit older we youthfully double-dated with the boys that we fancied at our school. we made each other feel secure and enjoyed every moment we shared. However, not everything was as it seemed to be.

Not only did she do that but she also told them that the clothing were hers. I established later on that she was telling a copious amount of lies about me and making me look inferior towards her friends. It was being rumored from her friends and passed on and on until it reached to me that I no longer wanted to be her friend anymore and that I was spreading rumors about her. The story was reversed and she took the role of being the supposed victim of the situation. I was shocked and in disbelief that someone that I basically grew up with would do such a horrid thing. she knew how to play the game and cause chaotic …show more content…
I happened to find out by some of our mutual friends that she was also on the team playing for her school. A few weeks later, our schools went against each other and I was not ready to face or confront her about my concern for our so called “everlasting friendship.” As the game was being played, I could tell that she didn 't want to talk nor would she even try to make eye contact with me. After my team won the game, it was time for us to run through and high-five each team player as we jogged in a single line fashion opposing her team and shockingly she high-fived everyone else on my team except for me on purpose. This is where it hit me that everything changed and she wasn 't my best friend any
