My Best Friend Analysis

There are many characteristics and traits that anyone looks for in a friend, some physical and some personality based. If I were to create my ultimate best friend, I would choose a list of features that would solidify our friendship. Such things would bring us closer through all of the good times, the deep conversations and the endless days overcoming life's obstacles together. The first and only physical trait that I desire from my friend would be for them to be “fun-sized”, or short, just like me. In this way, we can both be short together and I will not receive constant short jokes or have my friend using my head as an arm rest. Also, if my friend ever were to turn in to a violent monster parallel to that of Frankenstein’s creature, my …show more content…
Perhaps one of the most outstanding qualities a person can have is being an optimist and looking at the glass as being half full. In regards to this, I have chosen a cup to represent the glass being half full. Someone who holds these views is always positive and thinking on the bright side of things, which is something I want and need in my life. I tend to be rather pessmistic, and I need someone who can balance me out and always keep me thinking that things will work out for the best. If there is one thing that my friend needs above everything else, it is undeniably a sense of humor. One of the primary things friendships are based on is humor and having a laugh together. My friend not only has to have a sense of humor and make me laugh, but they need to understand my sense of humor as well. I am often incredibly sarcastic and have a quirky sense of humor, so I need someone that will understand what I'm talking about and when I'm being sarcastic or quirky. A whoopee cushion is the perfect, classic symbol to show what I wish my friend to …show more content…
When you feel like you want to give up or it's not worth it, the best thing you could possibly receive is often some encouragement. Someone who is always there to push you when you need it is an often over-looked but greatly needed trait that my friend can exemplify. Someone as pessimistic as I am could greatly use the encouragement, and therefore I have chosen to represent this through an encouragement letter. Encouragement letters are a tradition among the Creekside Cross Country team where the athletes get together to write encouragement letters and eat dinner together. We receive the letters the next day and they are filled with motivation, quotes and inspiration to get us through the race, which is what I want my friend to do. Some of the best friendships form out of a mutual interest. Common interests can be the backbone of a relationship and can develop the relationship further through the passion that is shared. A friendship can be gained through talking about or doing a specific interest or hobby. My typical friend would most likely be someone who is athletic because I am involved in many sports, so my Varsity letter for soccer is representative of the passion I hold for

This quote intrigued me because the two had just met and Holmes was quite rude to her. This foreshadows how they treat each other later on in the story. Their relationship is going to be full of mockery of each other but yet full of love and support for one another. This reminds me of something I would say to my sister or something my dad would say to me. Their relationship could either resemble one of father and daughter or one of sister and brother.…

I chose this style as beanies are quite comfortable, and that is my preferred state. Additionally, it is a pretty plain style compared to others as I don’t like to stand out too much. They also keep your head warm, and I’d much rather be warm than freezing.…

So it is important to know that people should find their friends based on their similar, or even same interests and personality. As Louise mentioned in the conversation, ‘cause we both smoke you see so that was our little bonding thing’. At the same time, Ye also present an idea about complementary of personality between friends. For example, if a person has hot temper, then having a patient friend is a good choice for him; if someone is easy to be pessimistic and gloomy, then he definitely needs an optimism to be his friend, to let him know a better and positive life. Of course, managing friendship is not only to have same hobbies or doing same things, the more important thing is to support each other.…
