One day we went out for McDonald’s together and collectively chowed down on fries, burgers, and ice cream. We talked and laughed the whole time when we hadn’t realized that we needed to get back to the school in like three minutes. This fun realization lead to us having a race back to school and subsequently sprinting down the sidewalk, barely missing pedestrians. In the space of about five minutes, I lost my phone (which I later got back), won the race, and made it back just in time for our section to run our scenes. These memories I started to amass simply showed me how close I was getting to the chorus in such a small window of time. That wasn’t just Bella, she became my “Valentine”, Becky was “Bexter”, and Sam was dubbed “Samwella”. Everyday wasn’t just a process of work and work and work; it was definitely a process of growth. Without drama night and the practices leading up to it, I probably would have never gotten close to those people like I did. The people I hang out with everyday now, call out to in a crowd, share my problems with, tell all my secrets to.The people who truly make my life amazing were somehow squished into it by a small school play and that fact is still what surprises me to this day. As I see it, when you’re given no other choice but to be with someone, you quickly realize that you either become friends or you don’t. This all depends on your disposition but if you’re willing, you’ll see how it works. If you’re expected to work with someone, it’s only in your human nature to want to relate to them.
