I have had many experiences/accomplishments up to this point in my life. In high school, I was involved in numerous activities. I participated in volleyball, dance, cheer, track, and FCCLA. I went to state volleyball three out of my four years and I went to state track two out of my four years in high school. I was also a member of NHS, was Class Treasurer, and Class Valedictorian. I consider all of these experiences to be accomplishments for my time in high school.

There were things I liked about being a CNA and things I disliked. I liked getting to know the residents and being able to talk with them about their past experiences. I also liked knowing the residents’ preferences for certain things, that way I could provide the best patient-centered care. However, I disliked how some of the other CNA’s treated the residents. For example, I was working a day shift on the south unit and a resident from the north unit came over in her wheelchair to our unit and said that no one would take her to the bathroom over there. She ending up wetting her pants because no one would take her to the bathroom when she said she had to go. That was something that really frustrated me. It is important that CNA’s understand their role is vital to the residents health. It’s not just the nurses alone caring for residents, it takes a
