Oftentimes we find it a hassle to book tickets, arrange itineraries and search for a good experience for our next travel destination.
Avid Traveler enables the user to set preferred activities when planning for a trip and allows freedom to choose preferred flights with fuss-free booking.
Now how does an app come to fruition? Initially, being naive, I thought it was just based on the app designer and developer. It then led to a problem statement. By initially grouping them by pains, pleasure, context and behaviours, I then saw patterns that can be crafted with imagining the user’s perspective by using the “I” statement. I utilised a Word Cloud generator, it gave me a visual pattern based on frequency of words. I had to remind myself that the Word Cloud was just a secondary additional step that serves as a reinforcing filter. As the Word Cloud could be misrepresented or (worse) give an inaccurate ideation of the findings.
My main focus is more on the information from the users perspective, a result of the Affinity Mapping process.
