Blacks fighting for an education dates all the way back to slavery times, but fast forward to 21st century and guess what? We’re still fighting. There are remnants of history being seen over and over again in the present such as a quality education being on reservation solely for white people. Essentially, education is being roped into being a white privilege. However, our world sees an unequal education amongst races as a thing of the past, but it isn’t. It’s very much so present in today’s world. For example, past observations that dates back to the over ten years ago showcases the high rate of African American high school drop outs and the declining amount of them pursing higher education. A problem such as this is still evident and rising. My auto-ethnography of my high school experience will correlate with different stigmas and stereotypes that surround the African-American community and
