Despite losing the innocence, that might have been needed for one to grow as a person. I’m sure that multiple people had to bridge this gap between innocence and knowledge.
For this project, I used some oil pastels that was in an art kit I had once, watercolour paper that I had gotten from Mr.Wimmer, and a mechanical pencil. I did draw a sketch on a smaller separate piece of paper before I transferred it to the larger paper. As well on that paper, I tried out some of the techniques of oil pastels before using them. I then started colouring and layering the oil pastel onto the larger paper. For this project, I used the principals and elements of color, texture, space, value, movement and a bit of emphasis. I used colour, for the entire artwork has colour, some different intensities of colours than others. Lighter and brighter colours are used on the kid and the umbrella.
