At first pass, although I agreed with the how he divided up his centers, I was left with thinking there could have been more detail in the definitions. I thought that it was obvious to me that an overabundance in anything will be detrimental, however, understand now that these centers are made to be simple to understand, but difficult to apply in practice. I find that this is where I try to live most of the time. Having a principle-based center keeps me the most consistent. I feel that if I keep myself to my fundamental truths, then I am less likely to misstep in any one aspect of my life. I am well aware that my fundamental truths may differ from others, and may even change based on new life experiences. I feel that the secret to managing these centers or paradigm shifts in live, is to simply have the ability to aware of them. I stand behind my first post, in that, we all have different life experiences, associations, and perceptions. All of these differences influence our personal viewpoint of how we see the world. These “self-truths”, are what guide us through life. The best part, is that none of these are permanent. We have the ability to learn, identify, and change our paradigms as we see fit.
