My Argument In Favor Of Assisted Suicide

I am one of many people who believe that life is precious and every second of it should be appreciated. When questioned about whether one person should be able to assist in another’s suicide legally, I feel I would have a hard time answering that. The answer really entirely depends on the situation the person is in. Do they want to leave the world just because something bad has happened or are they suffering from severe pain? To be able to commit an assisted suicide, I think the person who assists in the suicide as well as the one who wants to suicide should go through a certain deduction process to see if they can do it legally. After this, consent would be needed for both the patient, the doctor, and several immediate family members. The one who wants to free themselves from the pain has to remember that their suicide would affect others around them in a negative way. Forcing someone to take away a life may give them PTSD if they are not emotionally prepared. This may result in the assister of the suicide to commit suicide. Then the family of the assister who suicided might be horrified by this sudden occurrence and suicide, as well. Catch the drift yet? One suicide may cause many others if the ones closest to the person who wants to die are not prepared to accept this. This can probably be easily fixed by explaining to the ones who refuse to sign a consent form for this about the amount of pain experienced every day. Basically, for a legal assisted suicide to be committed, there must be the consent of multiple people through a contract and the person of interest must be experiencing a severe amount of pain with no
