I was always interested in uncovering hidden realities of life; be it in the form of human body or human social co-existence. Hailing from the underprivileged area of Pakistan where diseases are so common , I felt fascination in studying the human body, a masterpiece of creation. The daily ground of work in biology class made me uncover more about human life. It was a big milestone when I passed medical school entrance test in which one must fall in top 10 percent of the total of above 40,000 candidates to get admission into medical school.

Working in a country with the limited ancillary medical resources polished my clinical and analytical skills to perfection and helped me develop an incessant

By being in high school, I felt I was limited in the opportunities to dwell in health care. However, I’ve proved my suspicions wrong by delegating myself to creative ways in outreaching to the medical path. I’ve attended medical seminars, shadowed, volunteered, researched and challenged myself to understand people better in ways like attending cultural events that could potentially help me in the future to become a competent healthcare provider.…

Dealing with a sudden case of epileptic seizure on first aid duty; the death of an elderly woman just a few hours after the morning ward round; witnessing electroconvulsive therapy; when I think of my experiences over the past few years I come to the realisation that there has been no single defining factor fuelling my desire for a career in medicine. Rather, my ambition has gradually become more and more cemented with each insight into the medical profession. These experiences have taught me many valuable lessons: the need to remain calm and logical in stressful situations, the importance of palliative care and the ever-evolving nature of medicine, and the ethical challenges of alternative yet controversial treatment.
