My Alternate Career Path

Although my aspirations in life revolve around the promise of becoming a physician, however, if this were no longer a feasible option, my alternate career path would consist of entering the field of medical research. Particularly, I would have my heart set on clinical research within the pharmaceutical industry. This stems from the fact that I have the ability to be immersed within a hospital setting, I am able to build upon the foundational concepts of each of the scientific areas of study, such as biology and chemistry, and I possess the ability to indirectly contribute to the well-being of others.
As a clinical researcher, I will be permitted to test the quality, effectiveness, and safety of various medications, treatment methods, or diagnostic devices in response to the overall well-being of a patient. As a very analytical and detail-oriented individual, I will collaboratively work with others to develop innovative and precise ways to aid in the prevention, diagnosis, and eradication of certain health-related conditions. In addition, this testing will primarily transpire within a hospital setting, where I will be able to assess the efficacy of my proposed medication first-hand, and under the wing of a fully qualified and practicing physician. Due to this ambition, I feel as though it would ultimately be beneficial to myself as a whole, as this occupation will provide me with the opportunity to enhance my interactions between both patients and other physicians, while simultaneously strengthening my understanding of fundamental scientific subject matters.
