For juniors, it’s a chance to go on a date, dress formal, and enjoy time with their friends. For seniors, it is the last big event with their underclassmen, the last high-school “hoorah”. As juniors, my class was in charge of decorating, preparing a meal, entertainment, writing prophecies for the upperclassmen, and still have enough time for each student to plan their own agenda for the day of the event. Also around this time of year there is softball, track, and tennis. This time of year was especially stressful for me due to my being a participant in track and softball, as well as being in charge of setting up prom. Another challenge that took place during this time was an illness that my father has recently discovered. My father went to the emergency room one morning due to his heart having severe complications, and remained in the hospital for a series of days. This period of time was difficult for me. Thankfully, I found ways around the complications and had plenty of support from my friends, as well as family.
Now I have reached a large milestone in my life, senior year. This year has gone pretty smoothly so far. I am thankful for my past for the simple reason that if it had not of been for all the obstacles, challenges, setbacks, and hard times I would not be in the same position I am today. I believe that the most tough person, the hardest working player, and the bravest warrior are given the most difficult challenges.
