1.What has been their academic history? In which classes have they been successful? In which classes have they struggled? Has their academics changed over the years?

In my life of being a student I have had many struggles and I also had many victories. In school I was outstanding in science I have never received less then a B in the many years of taking it. Unlike science I have a love hate relationship with math and English language arts. In the various grades levels I have entered I either; do good in math or do bad in English, or do good in English and do bad in math and in some scenarios I'm bad at both.In the other classes I often tend to succeed in them and that is including; History, art,p.e,etc.My academics are very

Now I understand that mediocrity is not an option because in the future, I may not be able to go the college, I want with just a 3.0 because now I understand that there are many people just like me applying for the same school with the same grades. How will I stand out? Now is the time I set the goal high so I can be outstanding and let others wither in my shadow. My goal is to get a 4.0 and be the best on all my classes and I am fully committed to reach that goal no mater how long I am going to work because being average is not going to let me go to college only perfection …show more content…
These three classes are not hard at all, quite frankly they are relatively easy, it is because I have not developed the capability to study. In Spanish one must review his notes and vocabulary, In geography one must study his notes maps and readings, in biology one must be able to understand scientific terms. Yet when I arrive at home I feel as if I have no need to study because it will all come back to me when I return to class ,but the infinite amount of quizzes in Spanish and the vocabulary dense AP test are causing me to suffer the consequences of my actions. Not only do I need help I am obsessed to find help as well. When I am prepared and all caught up I will regularly study everyday knowing well it will pay off one

But who is to say that you are not gifted and talented just because of a lower grade in a class which will never be relevant to your future goals and plans. For example, my last two years of high school, I completed thirty college credits based on my goal of becoming a registered nurse. I quickly discovered that, though the class load was relatively easy, the nursing program was not for me so I dropped the classes which in turn, made my transcript appear lousy to college admissions. While discovering I was not gifted in the nursing field, I realized I am gifted in the teaching field.…

My passion for marine biology and medical studies have pushed me to take the hardest classes offered and expose myself to a variety of research opportunities. I am at the top of my class at St. Thomas University and I easily got there. The coursework and classes they offer are way below my capabilities and I struggle to keep interested and engrossed during class due to the lack of difficulty. I am bored, have a ridiculous amount of free time, and catch myself getting far ahead of the lessons currently being taught. I love learning new things but nothing new is being taught.…

During my junior year I experienced failure. I had taken 3 AP classes and I was in cheer at my high school, and trying to figure out a balance between the two was difficult for me because it seemed like cheer took up a lot of my time and in the past other two years it had, but I had managed to still do well in my honors and AP classes. My junior year was another story, I struggled a lot at the beginning of the school year, and most of first semester was spent with me having an F sometimes more than one, and that was a failure to me because I had my heart set on going to a four college or university and I knew that if i had an F i wouldnt qualify.…

I thought it would only be just this one beginning, but I realized that it has been many new beginning as in making new friends, and meeting new and fantastic teachers. As well as being exposed to many amazing things to learn. Some of the trends I notice on my transcript is that in the 9th grade my grades we're A’s and one B and this continued on to the second semester with A’s and the one C. The as it progressed to 10th grade my grades started to range from A-C’s and most of the good grades I had were from classes I liked and that I understood. I think that the people, government officials, and the society does understand history, but we may make some occasional mistakes and neglect some of these. I think most people try to use what they have learned as a guide. Most the things the people and society do are positive to our society. There are many things that we have improved upon with our history, such as racial discrimination, wage equality, and such ast things such as improving how the government functions and the divisions of the three branches are all signs of improvement. Changes in laws and additions to the law that correct mistakes made in history like violations of privacy, segregation, and so on have been fixed.…

“Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.” (Albert Einstein Quotes) Albert Einstein says that using imagination can take you everywhere meaning that you can become anything or anyone and understand what is going on while you are that person or thing. Fiction activates your imagination and has you connect with the character to better understand what that character is going through. Fiction would then be valuable to historians because it helps them see the emotions of people during the time they are studying.…

It is difficult to choose only three moments that have had an impact in my life. When I am telling the story of my life it might seems to be a little bit dramatic or like I am narrating myth. As well as, Hercules had to travel from town to town fulfilling with the twelve labors, overcoming the obstacles, adversity and difficulties in order to be able to advance, as well, I have had to move out of different countries in order to progress going through situations that for me were my own version of the twelve labors. History and the past are two words that seem to go hand in hand. Unfortunately, when these words come up in conversation many people automatically reflect on their time in grade school when memorizing the capitals was the standard. The past though, is so much more than that, and the documented interviews contained within the pages of The Presense of the Past prove just that. Roy Rozenweig and David Thelen delve into the minds of Americans in an attempt to recognize how the public understands the past and the trustworthiness of the knowledge they gained.…
