My ACL: The Event That Changed My Life

When I was a Junior in highschool I had tore my ACL, it was shocking to me because for one I didn’t know what that was, also because I have never sprained anything before in my life. It was very hard for me to believe that I could do anything that dangerous to where I actually could tear something.
The day that the accident happened was a regular day in p.e. Class, my class was playing volleyball my team was up by a couple point so the game was starting to get intense. Once my team served the ball over the net the game was on !, both teams were starting to get competitive the other team hit the ball over the net and it was my team’s hit once my team hit the me and another girl from the opposing time ran to the net to spike the ball before it

Soon after that my p.e. teacher called the nurse while another student rushed to grab ice from the office, one the nurse came I was already crying from pain I was taken to the nurse office and examined to see what was wrong with my knee and why i couldn’t move it. The nurse didn’t really have an answer for my knee she told me to go home put ice on it and to go see my doctor.
When I arrived to the doctor’s office the next day to be examined he told me that I had torn my ACL I was in complete shock I didn’t know my accident in volleyball was that serious, once I got over my shock and my doctor explained to me that I had to wear a knee brace for a couple of weeks until it heal.
After I had on the knee brace for a couple of weeks and taken it off I was still experiencing pain in my knee, and even to this day every once in awhile when I walk up hills or stand for a long period of time my knee will start to ache, and I always remember the time I tore my ACL in
