Islam believes what you do in this present life will effect your life after death. Muslims believe you are made up of body and soul, with your soul living on after death and will be judged according to your actions in life. They believe the afterlife will consist of rewards as well as punishments. Hell or Paradise are considered final destinations after being judged by God. This Muslim belief has some similarities with Christianity. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."(John 3:16 KJV) For a Christian life after death is a real promise we strive for.
