Musk certainly have been through a lot of things until he became the 87th world’s richest person in the world. He was born in South Africa 28 june1971, obtained Canadian citizenship on 1989, and eventually became an American citizen on 2002. He is the founder of Tesla Motors, co-founder of PayPal and the CEO of Space-X industry who aiming to colonize Mars in the future. Even though Musk had terrible experience from his early childhood, he was able to become a successful businessman by will power, strong and weak ties as well as free will. Firstly, will power determines how gritty a person is. In other words, will power is defined as the ability to repel short-term temptations in order to achieve long-term goals. When he was a young boy or perhaps at about to be teenager, he got bullied by his friends and his sister’s friends. He seemed to be an awkward person who doesn’t know how to interact with people in social life. Maye Haldeman tells that Elon would never bring any friends to come over to his house but his sisters always do (Musk 34). This is why, every time his sisters go to certain places, his mom always asks her if Elon could go with them. But sadly, they declined it because Elon seemed to be an individualistic person. Elon is more like a nerd who likes to read books a lot and sometimes he doesn’t even bother with his surroundings. Elon does not stop there yet he keeps merging with his sisters with a will power. Once her sisters ask, why everyone seems to be afraid in dark places. Musk simply answer in scientific way that dark is just a place where sun could not reach it (Musk 34). His meaningful answers as a young boy is really fascinated people and yet reassuring and correcting the way people think in general. As time goes on, he became a young man with a very advanced mind. He wants to change people opinion about cars and works very hard with his Tesla industries, a full basis electric car which range to 265 miles on a single charge. This bonds between people usually occurred when they are under pressure whether to go with it or no. They usually share and have something in common in order to attach with the weak ties. Peer pressure and weak ties are related to each other but everyone has its own different one (Duhigg 225). Social habits is several skills that you may or may not fully master it on all aspects. These includes, Leadership, Team player, being respectful, as well as being polite. Weak ties and pressure is not only happening between 2 people and more, it also could be one person only. Social obligations hold a crucial point in peer pressure and eventually it would appear the weak and strong ties. By being a leader in certain groups, there are lots of responsibility to weigh on it.
