Traits of the American Musical Icon
Today’s music industry has become a competitive business to see who can make it to the top of the charts. Iconic musicians make themselves stand out by being charitable, using their personal history, crossing over, signature style, and their stage presence. Many icons worked hard to be where they are to day, so they know the struggle and give back to the community.
Many artists reflect on and incorporate into their music experiences from their personal lives concerning how they grew up, the small home town community support, someone or something that has personally touched their life. Giving back is a form of charity some of today’s top iconic artists enjoy sharing with their fan base. Some icons such as Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift, and Toby Keith choose to donate money, put on free concerts and donate items needed for education.

She started her career in a all girls teenage singing group called “Destiny Child” After years of success their group became one of the popular R& B acts and a couple of number one hits. Although the group was a success, Beyonce began working the in movie industry and also recording as an individual. “Destiny Child” ended their group and Beyonce started her solo career in 2006. She is currently still singing, acting and has started her own clothing line and a new fragrance “Heat” In 2013, she rejoined her former group members and preformed at the Super Bowl (Beyonce).
