With minimal prominence, the director uses the soundtrack to add elements found in musicals due to the fact that the songs play along with the theme as the characters develop. Conclusion The hypothesis for how 80’s music would make it harder for the participants to focus was accepted. The data used from the experiment that supports the hypothesis was the different genres of music that each participant listened to, one of the genres of music was 80’s music and the participants that listened to 80’s music had a harder time focusing on the worksheet and got more time for the trials with music than without music. I think the results came out the way they did is because when your doing a math worksheet especially basic multiplication you have to be able to think hard.
