Unlike classical, which has a calming rhythmic tempo and quite beat classical is proven to calm the senses and can relieve anxiety. We tend to listen to music that relates to are state of mood like after a heart break sad music is normally what is listened to “ People often have different reasons for listening to music when dealing with different emotions.” (Stratton and Zalanowski, 1997;Schwartz and Fouts, 2003) Each genre has a mix of tempo variety and lyrics, but they can still cause the same effects even if you like the song it could make you angry, because the brain responds to it in a way that is not possible to change. Another music genre that may vary in results is country. Because of the instrumental and vocal pitch they can be perceived as calming or irritating, and the lyrics have a sad under tone. Depending on what genre are preferred different stimulants occur. If you are looking to pump up your adrenalin or get an energy boost, rock music message in the lyrics and the fast beat will get the heart to pump faster this type of music is ingrained in our primal mind to make us move; we know this because babies move to music before they can even walk. Rock and roll has a way of taking adolescent frustration and rebellious nature and putting it into a song by doing these teenagers are able to relate easier and makes them feel not so isolated. This would be considered the felt emotion related to music. There are 2 different kinds of general emotions related to music the 1st being perceived and the 2nd is felt emotion. Perceived emotion is where we can understand the emotions the artist is trying to perceive without actually having to feel it our selves, and felt emotion is where we ether relate or understand the emotions because we feel them
