There are quite a few students who will look forward to listening to a certain song in between classes, whether it be a slower one to possibly relax their mind after a big test, or maybe a more upbeat song to get them a little more energized after a slow-paced class. Whatever it may be, listening to music definitely has a positive, large impact on students during school. Listening to and playing music can reduce chronic stress by lowering the stress hormone cortisol. It can ultimately make the person feel more hopeful, powerful, and in control of their life. Going from a school that allows music and music programs to a school that completely takes music out of the picture would be quite a dramatic change. It is likely that the classes would seem quite a bit more quiet, and the students may seem more introverted, rather than extroverted. They would probably not be able to express themselves as much, and their opportunities would be limited. That being said, if the students have only known a music-free community, they probably would never even say anything because they do not know anything different from what they are used to. If someone were to transfer to the music-free community, however, they would probably be extremely dissatisfied and have less motivation to do certain things because they are used to having music in their everyday life at
