Music Class Observation

So this week was interesting. I took time this week to really observe interactions in the class between students and also the interactions between students in the resource class and students who are not. I attended a science class with a student and we did the work that was required and since he was having a god day we took him to the music class. It was hear that I was really able to observe the student interacting with peers. The student gets so excited when he is in the music class, playing his bongos and swaying to the music that they are playing. What I really found interesting was the one student that always sits near the one I work with is always the nicest person to my student. But recently he has been getting into fights with oither students from the resource class, calling them “retards” and that they go to “retard class”. This …show more content…
So far they have had apples with carmel sauce and cheese and crackers. I feel that this is a good thing for he students because it will help allievete the worry about these kids having enough to eat. Also it helps them learn life skills. The other student I work with told me that he had never done dishes before so we taught him how to properly wash and dry the dishes. I really like the idea of the program but there are just some flaws in the way it was designed. They have papers showing the steps that need to be done but a lot of the steps are just to complicated for the one student to do and the EA ends up doing it . They are two long and wordy. Also there is no area where he can improve is writing like he does on his shredding job. Other than that it went very well and we were really happy with the one student adjusting to the new program so easily. What really made me happy this week was working with one student in a period one class. I have been working with this student for 2 weeks now on his final project and he got his marks back today. He got a perfect score and the look on his face was just amazing he was so
