Having a memorable rhythm also makes the product or service being advertised more memorable. Lyrical music is used in many ads because it allows the costumer to sing about something that if it were to be spoken would sound cliché. The mixture of using both song and speech allows advertisers to appeal to both the logical and emotive side of a consumer. Advertisers need to make sure that their ads are being portrayed to the correct audience. Different musical styles are associated with people of different demographics, and it is important that those styles are used in order to target a certain group.
