“Get in the truck, I want you try something.” my dad told me last summer. I had no idea where we were going and I kept asking and he just kept saying “a place.”…
Basically, the more numbers of muscle fibers in a motor unit, it will be less flexible, and the force is large. On the other hand, fewer muscle fibers make motor unit become more flexible but less…
Within this lab we studied and compared the quantity of effort throughout intermittent and continuous exercise on a cycle ergometer. The time to fatigue, and recovery time was also considered during each type of exercise. To look at muscular fatigue in this lab we used a sub maximal test, this was used because maximal tests can be harmful to participants. Muscular endurance can be described as the ability of a muscle or muscle groups to do continual muscular contractions with resistance, when the muscle can no longer work at a given rate that is fatigue. Muscles that fatigue quickly have low endurance, muscles that take time to fatigue can be categorised as muscles with high endurance.…
Those three are the Endurance, Strength and Speed workouts. A huge factor in CrossFit is being able to workout at high intensities for substantial amount of time. CrossFit Endurance builds on a CrossFit base through increased stamina efforts (time trials, intervals). CrossFit Endurance refers to cardio respiratory endurance,…
You look in the mirror. What do you see? For most people that decide to go to the gym, it is the unwanted physique that they see in the reflection or the motivation to get “back into shape.” The term, to get into shape, may depend on the person and the goals they want to set, but one thing is for sure--aesthetic appearance and strength are usually the reasons to go to the gym according to Quenqua (5). Now you walk into the gym, to your left is a class being taught and to your right is the equipment.…
In this experiment we are testing the different factors and how they affect the muscle performances. The different tests included the temperature and if it makes the Number of Fists you can make in thirty seconds a higher number of fists or lower number in different temperatures. Also tested was how the muscle fatigue affected the performance of the time holding a quarter in between a clamp. Muscle Fatigue is a tiring of the muscles. A muscle is a body tissue that can produce movement or a strength physically.…
The career that I chose is an Athletic Trainer. I would love to be an athletic trainer because I love helping people and I love to be active. In order to get and do this, I would need many science classes, or body health classes. My goal for when I get to be an athletic trainer is to sometime get at least my masters degree. This is my plan because if I have my masters degree that will open up for a good amount of jobs because it is a good start for that job.…
Cardiovascular endurance is the most important. People work on during daily activities such as gardening or house cleaning are using their heart and in order to gain strength and endurance one has to improve heart health. Muscular endurance is a branch off of cardiovascular endurance because if there is not muscular strength then it deters the length of time a person can perform a certain activity. Muscular strength is important because in day to day activities such as getting out the bed, would be hard if we did not try to improve our muscular strength. I think it goes hand in hand with physical therapy because when a person breaks a leg or arm if they are older, muscular strength is important to get the body back to “normal.”…
Discuss fitness tests or methods of evaluation that should be used to assess the client, providing rationale for your recommendations. Be sure to address the specific conditions presented by your client. It will be important to consider that his body is still going through puberty when designing a program for him. This offers a great opportunity to encourage him though, as this is when he can set up what the status quo will be for his adult life regarding his physical fitness and overall health. CARDIO Swimming test, if available, would be preferable.…
Both training methods have their advantages and disadvantages. When it comes to bodybuilding you will build a bigger and more proportional physique; this form of training involves muscle-focused movements and executing multiple repetitions throughout the workout. Whereas CrossFit, you will go through a high intensity workout that involves the use of your entire body. This form of training will keep you well-conditioned and in phenomenal shape. Your desired goal is what will help you decide if you want to become a Bodybuilder or a CrossFit athlete.…
After high school, I plan on attending Castleton University in Vermont. In college, I intend on studying Athletic Training, however, I also plan on pursuing outdoor recreation. In my community, I am very involved in many outdoor activities. I have always loved the outdoors along with the athletic opportunities it provides. I plan on devoting my life to outdoor recreation because I believe it is important to breathe the fresh air and have a good time with it.…
When the body repairs these muscles, it replaces them with even tougher fibers, making your muscles stronger and less prone to damage. This is known as muscular hypertrophy—essentially, muscle growth. The Best Weight Training Exercises There are two separate and important types of weight training exercises.…
Resistance training is a common weight training you would see when you walk into your local gym. As you lift heavy weights, your muscles resist the motion and tear slightly once you push them too hard. The tiny tears in the muscle are repaired by new muscle fiber, which causes the muscle itself to grow and get bigger. Resistance training follows a concept of progressive overload, which allows your muscles to lift a certain amount of weight for eight to 10 repetitions, but after that, it becomes very difficult and your muscles fatigue. At that point, increase the weight for your next workout so that after rest, you can push your muscles to adapt to a heavier weight.…
To build muscle, one must understand the components required to maximize the body 's muscle building process. Aside from sheer hard work and dedication, there are four main components. Nutrition, hydration, training, and protein synthesis which is the biological process does the muscle building. Each component is an absolute requirement for this topic, and will be analyzed independently, to show how collectively, they work together to create optimal conditions for muscle growth.…
This is very true. An average man has 40 to 60 percent more upper body strength and 25 to 30 percent lower body strength than an average woman. They are indeed much stronger because of their muscular strength which allows them to perform much better in contact sports and sports that use a lot of strength. However, having good strength does not make men the better athletes. Women have much more muscle endurance than men.…
