Warming up is beneficial for muscles and tendons to safe them from injuries. According to Nerd fitness, after a dynamic warm up, it is suggested to start with a set or just the bar. This means that, after doing jumping jacks, push ups, and others exercises starting with simple reps of deadweight is important before complementing weight to the exercises. Also, changing time between sets is good; for example, if people lift heavy weights its fine to wait at least 3-5 minutes to start the other set. Just be consistent between sets and when doing the same workout between weeks to track your progress (Steve).
