Scene 1
Characters: Protagonist
This is the scene where the protagonist breaks his leg. Protagonist is walking down the stairs, where he trips and falls down. There are no dialogues in this scene, except for an exclamation of pain in the end.
Scene 2
Characters: Protagonist, Doctor
Protagonist hopes no one notices the fall, and tries entering the medical room. Protagonist makes sure that no one sees him entering the medical room, because of the fear of stigma. The doctor examines him and informs him that he has fractured his leg. Doctor reassures him that everything will be okay soon, and that the protagonist need not worry. Protagonist is worried about the recovery and the stigma associated with a broken leg. He limps out of the room, with crutches …show more content…
Insurance guy laughs it off and says that insurance does not cover physical illnesses, and their medication.
Scene 4
This can be either acted out, or depicted as emails with a voice over. This is a coversation between protagonist and a professor, where the former asks for a day off because he cannot get out of bed. Professor tells him that physical illnesses and broken legs are not good enough reasons to come to class.
Scene 5
Characters: Protagonist, roommate/best friend
Protagonist on his bed, in his room. Friend walks in and asks him if everything is okay. After a lot of hesitation, protagonist shares that he has broken his leg. Friend gives him a weird look and tells him to 'man up' and 'snap out of it'.
Scene 6
Characters: clusters of people in the cafeteria.
This seen is shot from the protagonist's point of view. People saying things like “Dude, that's so fractured”. The aim of this scene is to discourage people from using words such as 'retarded' and 'bipolar' as insults.
