Upon graduation from Multnomah University, my parents rewarded me with a trip to Israel. We spent three, life changing weeks traveling around this awe inspiring country. This experience has deeply affected my walk with the Lord. The ability to physically walk throughout the land of Israel helped to facilitate visualizing the various biblical stories. When reading the Bible, I occasionally forget that these are real places. Seeing the Holy Land with my own eyes was a profound experience that has brought the Bible to life. Consequently, the knowledge I acquired has ignited a greater passion to study and teach the Bible.

Due to the rapid pace of my first trip, I felt overwhelmed and was unable to absorb the importance of a few significant sites. Therefore, a second trip would supply me the opportunity to have a greater appreciation for the sites. Moreover, I was unable to see the more modern sites on my first visit. This second trip would allow me to see these parts of Israel. For instance, I would cherish visiting the sites in the West Bank and the modern day government buildings.
