Effects of Multiracial People in Shaping People’s Lives in Different Cultures
The concept of race has had a different set of impact on many people around the world. Multiracial people have influenced people in different cultures in different ways. Initially, people from different cultures were considerably intolerant with one another. American history indicates that white people were significantly intolerant of those who came from other regions, especially people from Asia and Africa. Africans were mainly brought and bought to become slaves in white people’s farmlands (Nash, 1995). Over the years, the black population initiated a revolution to change the negative perception (Miles & Holland, 2006). Similarly, the Asians came in large drones from different parts of Asia. Their massive immigration made natives and settlers in America to feel threatened. Brooks (2002) captures the resistance of Virginia Indians who resisted being forcefully enrolled into the military like the African Americans. Over time, people from different cultures have become tolerant with one another. Initially, discriminatory laws were established in different parts of the world.
