the monkey's paw has multiple settings and plots. one of the people die. and the parents try to come to life.

i think the narrator was going through life problems when he wrote this. the reason to why i think that is because someone died on a construction site and that might have happened to me.

i also think he went through something tragic in life. like he might have lost a kid from cancer or something like that. also i'm shore he wanted to bring him back but he couldn't so he wants the story to be like what he wished.
