Imagine having to watch the person who made you who you are today become sick. This is what I had to go through at a young age. My mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis or MS. Multiple Sclerosis is when your immune system attacks the central nervous system. At thirteen I had to try to understand what was happening to her body, cope with something I had no control over, and attempt to deal with the uncertainty of my mothers’ future. We were on the way home from school, my dad had picked my brother and I up that day. My brother and father were talking when my brother asked if my mom had learned anything else about her test results. Me being curious of course I asked what they were talking about.
