Running down a dark, damp alleyway trash all around me. My long red hair pulled back into a ponytail, which was unusual for me, but I had to keep it out of my deep green eyes. At the time I wasn’t sure what I was chasing, all I knew was, it had to be stopped. I had run five blocks exhausted, I stopped to take a breather. Then I heard it a bang! A loud sound behind me. I thought if the shot had come from behind me, who was the target? I looked down and saw a gaping hole through my stomach. I heard an eerie screeching in my ears as I began to black out. I woke up hours later, in the hospital. My older brother Charlie sitting across from, me constantly wiping tears from his icy gray eyes. His dark brown hair looked untouched.

I was skeptical about being put back on the case afraid it would bring out the worst in me. I began to tell Caroline my captain about my condition but (I saw her lying on her desk hidden by her luscious blonde locks) I turned and walked away. But I would have to tell her eventually or bad things could happen.

My condition can be deadly to others. I have Multiple Personalities Disorder. This means I have 2 people inside of me; the one that has control Toni Smith and the one that occasionally takes control, Elliot Collins. The stress I can get from picking up a case I almost died on could let her through.

CSI and I went out to the scene of the murder when we heard a gunshot I got immediately got up and ran in the direction of the noise. I had run for what felt like miles not finding anything. I started to get upset; maybe it wasn’t a gunshot but a ploy to get me out of the building. As I kept searching I became dizzy, thinking it was just the pain of my bullet wound I pushed through it until any and all noise began to fade until I passed out lying on the ground unsure what was going to happen

Also somehow we had pinpointed him and was able to bring him for questioning.

After hours of questioning his alibi was murder, he said he was killing someone else at the time and the recent brought in corpse was the proof, so he still got arrested but for different reasons.

Hours later we brought in my brother's roommate Andy Richardson, they had often fought for reasons unknown, but Andy said he was at the university the time and his professor could vouch for him.

We had questioned two suspects and both were flops we had no more evidence and know way to tell who it might’ve been. Until I realized I was a suspect. I had blacked out for hours waking up 10 minutes from my brother apartment with blood on my hands. Maybe Elliot had taken control and killed my brother. With this theory I went to tell Caroline.

“Caroline,” I walked in to her office “I think I killed Charlie.”
“Smith,” she said frowning “you are really confusing with the whole I think

ONCE FIREFIGHTERS had jimmied the door that July afternoon, the police squeezed into a beaten apartment groaning with possessions, a grotesque parody of the “lived-in” condition. Clearly, its occupant had been a hoarder. The officers from the 115th Precinct called the medical examiner’s office, which involves itself in suspicious deaths and unidentified bodies, and a medical legal investigator arrived. His task was to rule out foul play and look for evidence that could help locate the next of kin and identify the body.…

An Autumn Homicide Riding my bike to a friend’s house on a late fall day in October just before the clocks are set to fall back, a day that I remember so vividly. The transition of shorter days and longer nights where the leaves are changing to a reddish brown color just before falling with the sight of dusk upon us. It was on this day that my life almost ceased to no longer exist. On this day, my friend and I decided after school we would ride our bikes to her house to play video games just before choir rehearsal.…
