I'm sitting in this room full of strangers, trying to keep it together though I could feel my gut tying itself into knots. The only ones who would really know anything would be my friends, Connor or Corey, and, of course, they aren't here. There's no telling when they'll be back so I try to get involved in one of the multiple conversations going in front of me though my mind was elsewhere. One of the many drifters currently inhabiting the same space as me had caught my attention with some story about herself. I let myself get distracted for a few minutes when Connor suddenly bursts through the door in a storm of messy curls and tears.
