In the Multimodal project that I created, students’ will be able to complete two products that demonstrate mastery of learning on the topic of the Civil War. The Essential North Carolina Standards for Social Studies 8th grade that students’ will learn will be through a specific set of objectives. Both products will cover each objective and the student will be able to reach his or her goal of mastery. The first learning objective will be 8. H.2 Understand the ways in which conflict, compromise, and negotiation have shaped North Carolina and the United States. Then the second will be 8. H.2.1 Explain the impact of economic, political, social, and military conflicts (e.g. war, slavery, states’ rights and citizenship and immigration policies)
