The physical experience of the objective is what generates understanding for the individual. In kinesthetic learning, movement and action replace more passive forms of learning, such as listening to a lecture (712 educators). Kinesthetic learners learn best through doing including manipulating items, simulations and role plays, and other methods for presenting subject matter that physically involve them in the learning process (freemwtl). Kinesthetic learners are naturally good at doing physical activities like sports, dance, and acting. They learn well from experience and experimenting with task at hand. Visual learners can have organized thoughts to remember by using their mind and visualizing. This then means that visual learners learn by seeing what they are being taught. This preference uses symbolism and different formats, fonts, and colors to emphasize important points (VARK 2017). Visual learners typically prefer images, maps, graphs, and other visual representations over other forms of instruction (freemwtl). The strategy used by visual learners is visualizing images, mind maps, list sand other techniques to better understand topics and …show more content…
They tend to be great note takes and usually write down information they believe is important in class. Read and Write learners make good traditional studies. They fit in with the conventional, school taught study method of reading textbooks and writing notes (the study Gurus). Often these types of individual preferred to read, take notes, and rewrite notes. They also preferred to use books, read to themselves, study alone, power point presentations, and intern. Strategies used by read/write learners are write and rewrite notes, rewording main ideas and principles to gain a deeper understanding, and organizing diagrams, charts, and graphic organizers into statements. The last type of way people learn is through hearing. This is called an aural learner. These types of learners “learn best through hearing the information (Mwtl). Aural learners prefer to talk out ideas, discussing, and making use of audio courses. For an aural, their preferred method of learning strategies is taping conversations and remembering interesting stories. A real-life example of this, is when an aural student brings in an audio recorders and tape the lecture at the same time it takes notes. This is helpful because at a later the lectures can be listen to while studying
