Multifaceted Lens: A Conceptual Analysis

My educational base as a junior at Dartmouth College has taught me to understand specific events or issues through a multifaceted lens. I believe this comprehensive viewpoint is important because to analyze isolated incidents, one needs to consider the environment and background that created such incidents. My studies in cultural anthropology and international politics have familiarized me with the complex nature of cross-cultural cooperation and political relations, both of which must be considered when working within a country on behalf of the US government.

With my background in anthropology, I would attempt to recognize potential cultural or communication barriers that the team would need to consider. I would also understand the necessity of balancing short-term goals with long-term solutions.
As an intern, I would bring to the team skills that would encourage efficiency and effectiveness. First, I know how to balance and prioritize multiple commitments and tasks while allocating time and effort in an efficient and orderly way. Second, I would stay flexible with my role and schedule, so that I could adapt to constantly changing conditions and needs. I understand that every task is important for the whole team to succeed; therefore, I would do whatever the team needed of me. Third, my passion for this work would drive me to do more than what is expected due to my intrinsic drive for excellence.
