Allen& Lewis (2003)’s research shown the physician give directions and supports to the nurse and act as “mentor” or “supervisor” and work collaboratively with other health professionals can synergy nursing staffs and lead them to different ways of dealing problems. They also suggest that “Working together means acknowledging that all participants bring equally valid knowledge and expertise from their professional and personal experience.” (Allen& Lewis, 2003, p.32) and this could also strengthen practices for nurses which would acknowledging their limits of scope of practice, when to get referral to specialist or how to seek advice from another member of team if there is any medical situation
