He was embarrassed with his father's accident; Nolga Bill had bragged about his father's mastery in the profession of cycling. He had bet a tuppence with all his classmates that his father would successfully go down the hill on the bicycle. Since his classroom window faced Dead Man's creek, everyone in the class saw his father's incident on the bicycle. They were laughing hysterically; they were shouting in an irritating, mocking tune "Nolga the Vulgar, his father is a fathead". His classmates always bullied Nolga on the account of his very vulgar sling hat and ragged and dirty uniform. People at his very prestigious and expensive school despised him and his family because they were poor; Nolga Bill had obtained a scholarship to Eaglehawk Grammar because of his impeccable academic records, High IQ and intellectual activity, and his equestrian abilities. Everyone in his class described him and his family as 'vulgar-speaking, lower class, impoverished bogans'.

Another aspect that remains open for criticism is if the author should have taken a cross-methodical approach and thus included a document review in his data acquisition. Millar describes that his original approach was to review video footage from the TRC hearings and then conduct interviews based on them. However he ultimately chose not to include these archival sources, as he found them to be insignificant to the local population (Millar 2010: 484-485). Considering the fact that Millar conducted this study in 2010, five years after the final report of the TRC, meant that his interviewees were dependent on their memory when speaking about their experiences with the TRC (Millar 2010: 485).…
