Stockton, Ca. my hometown, located in San Joaquin County. Is Stockton a Melting Pot? Some would say different. The existence, truth be told people fail to realize Stockton is very different from other small towns. In this city, many issues arise on a daily basis. The violence has gotten out of control. The violence has erupted due to the lack of instructional activities as well as parental guidance. In addition to pointing fingers, the lack of funding is to blame as the city struggle to rise above its very own pollution. The City of Stockton’s youth has suffered not by choice; I say by City council, the Mayor failing to provide proper resources. In order to rebuild or “reconstruct” a town torn apart from the reality it once knew, reinforcement is overdue. The city lacks in recreation for the youth as well as recommended programs of Big Brother and Big Sister support. The Boys and Girls clubs no longer exist. In a way, we lost our town stripped of positive guidance. It is about Unity becoming one, changing lives for a better future. We are a part of the world our kids are the future. Learning to change lives for a better future in Stockton starts from home. The choices we make can reap habit on the paths we take. I have resided in Stockton for over 25 years; The City of Stockton is not what it used to be. I have heard, witnessed many disturbing moment, my eyes have seen much exposure and hidden details. In addition to the madness, The City of Stockton experienced bankruptcy not to mention the lack of employment responsible for broken egos. The housing market fell many suffered foreclosures.
