I know that there is only hope through Jesus Christ, and without him I would still be living in sin. As a Christian, I strive to choose the right, even though that may not always be the popular choice. Heavenly Father knows that there are times in my life where I struggle, I fail, and I feel discouraged. Spiritually, we cannot make it on our own, we need Heavenly Father to guide us to do what is right. When it comes to Christian converts, only through the grace and mercy of Heavenly Father have their hearts been changed by accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We as humans lack the willpower to change, and overwhelmed by bad habits, hatred, and every other sin. However as Christians, we do not have to do this on our own. Christ changes our hearts, and therefore transforms us into someone new. However, we cannot just accept Christ as our Savior and think everything will be fine. As Christian counselors, we have to practice Spiritual discipline. This includes, “prayer, service, maintaining purity, compassion, accountability, forgiveness, obedience, confession and repentance, wisdom, agape love, listening and guidance.” (Clinton, 2005) Heavenly Father wants us to be a new creation, and has created a way through Christ that we can be purified through the Holy
