Ms. Wonderly's Narrative Essay

In San Francisco of 1928, a female introduces herself, Ms. Wonderly. In the search for a reliable private detective, she meets Spade. She explains to him, how she is originally from New York and tracking down her fellow sister, Corinne. Ms. Wonderly has reason to believe she was here in San Francisco with a man by the name of Thursby. Then concludes to have no whereabouts, how her sibling met him and wishes their relationship was better. Therefore, confesses to Spade, she planned on running away and their parents were going to murder Thursby if Corinne does not return home before their arrival. (MF p.7) Spade asked if she heard a word from her sister. Ms. Wonderly had retrieved a letter from her saying she was alright. Wonderly then states
