Ms. Cortez Case Study

Cortez received a phone call from St. Joseph's today. They have rejected her because her situation is not urgent. Ms. Cortes was hoping would get accepted into St. Joseph's shelter and began to plan her next move. I asked her if she got any information from her CPP caseworker for other formers of housing/ shelters placement programs. Ms. Cortes had informed him St. Joseph had rejected her. She told me her only other options were to go to the YMCA or to move back to New York.
Ms. Cortes told me that she had to go to the Dept. of Health and Human Services in the morning to get her sanction removed, so she can receive her benefits next month. A sanction was placed on her, because she missed her activity the day she was discharged. She also needed
