“Nuh-uh, Mrs. Welly, she’s lying. Don’t believe her, she’s always blaming me for things I didn’t do.” She crossed her arms and slumped into her chair. “She’s a B-word.” I gasped. That’s why she acts so terribly, Mrs. Welly.” “I don’t have the time to fight with a smelly person like you.” I wanted to punch her in the face and trust me, I would have, but Unckie told me I should never start a fight. I don’t talk about my parents. They left me at a facility where I had to live as a nomad before my Uncle Jimmy adopted me. I didn’t stay at one house for very long because they all said I was too crazy. They just couldn’t handle my big personality, at least …show more content…

I had to slide past Mable, who was looking in the toy bins, and hop around the dioramas of what we wanted to be when we grew up. Mine was on the other side of the room, sitting on the window ledge. I made a person playing the saxophone. I want to be a saxophonists like my Unckie and grandpa! But, the one I had to step over to get to the cupboard was Randy Smith’s diorama of the sky with an airplane in it because he wants to be a pilot. It had so many cotton balls and looked too comfy, I think a cat would like

Caroline and I gazed up from her iphone at each other in shock. Our mouths agape, our eyes wide, and our heads shaking slowly in disbelief.
