Linda graduated in 1966 and did not attend college. Instead she married her high school sweet heart shortly after graduation at 19. She says he was really her only bow and had been introduce by her parents. They courted for a while when she was in school and said she knew he was the one because even after his Family moved out of state he drove home every weekend to see her. When asked what her typical date was she laughed and said most of the time he spent time at her family home helping out and staying for dinner. She did say that when they did go out it was to a dance, movie or maybe to dinner somewhere. She blushed telling me about the first x rated movie they had …show more content…
Linda laughed again saying only things that you can’t learn in school. I asked her to elaborate. She said that through life she had learn how to manage money run a family and to not worry about things out of your control. I took that last one to heart. Linda said that families fight and things happen but what she new to be true was that “there is nothing that you can’t forgive and or forget”. I laughed at the “and or forget” piece and wish that we could all put this into our lives today.
I learned a lot speaking to Linda but mostly I enjoyed hearing her laugh and watch her face as she thought about how to answer my question. I learned I need to take more pictures so I can preserve my memory and that ageing is ok if you have a loving supportive
