Mrs. Rozier was a short ELA teacher and her 6th period class is the wildest class. My most memorable moment in Mrs. Rozier’s 6th period class is when everyone was making impressions of her. Everyone was making very funny impressions of her. My reaction of that incident was laughter, because the way my classmates were doing the impressions.

As a young 13 year old in 8th grade, I was not expecting a reading teacher to once had been a rapper. As a teacher, his name was Mr. Hill but as a rapper, his name was Killa C. Everyone in 8th grade heard about him being a rapper before the year even started. His music seemed to be sort of devil worshipping and not true to his life. If I must say, it was stunning to see downtown Billings in a music video.…

“The Jacket” Fictional Narrative Assessment Gary Soto’s “The Jacket” tells the story of a jacket that the author received when he was in 6th grade. The jacket his mother lovingly purchased for him was NOT the kind of jacket he had asked for, and in his eyes, brought him three years of bad luck. Rewrite Soto’s personal narrative as if his mother HAD bought him the neat jacket - “like bikers wear: black leather and silver studs with enougt belts to hold down a small town.” Tell your version from the day the author sees the jacket on his bedpost, to the end of day when he first wore the new jacket to school. This course is built around the students’ previous knowledge from Biology and allows them to delve deeper into the systems of the human body. Traditionally, students in this course use the information gained to recognize, evaluate and treat common wilderness injuries. Upon completion of this course, students will be certified in CPR and first aid through the American Red Cross and the opportunity to attempt certification through Stonehearth Open Leadership Opportunities (SOLO). Preference for admittance into this course is given to seniors, but the course is open to 10th and 11th graders as well.…

Starting first grade I thought we were the top dogs because we got moved down to the bigger playground with the bigger kids. Since they knew we liked kick ball so much they built a kick ball diamond for us. There was just so much to do in the shortest amount of time. Everyday was a new day, I never did the same thing, whether it was playing on the upper part on the monkey bars seeing who could hang the longest or playing football with the guys. I can remember my first year at kickball I was taller than most of the guys because they haven’t hit their growth spurt yet, so everyone wanted me on their team because I was the only girl once again that was better than most of the guys.…

How do you know the color of the shirt you are wearing? Can you be sure that blue is really blue? Our knowledge comes from many years of schooling and facts taught to us by our parents, teachers, and what we saw in books and media. We regurgitate these facts in our daily lives.
