As Mrs.Blaco walked through the door I thought to myself that she had a regal air surrounding her. Standing at 5’4” with silky, smooth, black hair in a ponytail, pointed defined eyebrows and professional makeup. Mrs.Blaco looked the part of a makeup artist. She wore a wine red shirt, a tan skirt with black print, two inches above her knees, short brown boots with a necklace and earrings complete the look. But where did the makeup artist get her start from?
Mrs.Blaco attended St.Joseph elementary, Waipahu intermediate and high school and attended school for nursing, a college in Washington State for broadcast media and finally settling down at Gene Juarez Academy to further her experience in hair and makeup. She was active in high school, she

“I wanted to be a nurse. You know, it was the typical asian thing to do” so she decided to go to schooling for nursing. But she soon decided to go to Washington State “I went to school for broadcast journalism. I wanted to be the weather girl on TV.” But when starting schooling she found out that her prerequisites didn’t transfer over and began questioning herself on if she wanted to switch over to pursue makeup and hair. “My parents didn’t see makeup as a job, but I showed them that I could go to school for it so then they warmed up to the idea.” She also inquired who she feels about learning other people’s works, “Even if I don't really like the person, that person gives me ideas to try for myself.” Mrs.Blaco also goes beyond by going to classes in different locations to learn new techniques to get better and stay in season as the fashion world is always changing.
“I like making people feel better about themselves. Taking how you are and enhancing it” Is a reason she likes her job so much. This is showing that not only is she doing this job just to make money or because she went to school for it, she’s passionate and wants others to feel better too. “I’ve learned to not let pressure affect my work” Like a professional she deals with her customers all the same whether they’re panicking on their special day or a
