“Walk-to-Dine” is a program that focuses on maintaining resident’s highest level of endurance, strength, and overall well-being. There are several studies that have been performed over this subject that conclude that this program is beneficial. The strategy is to give the residents who cannot walk to the dining room independently, the chance to do so with help from the staff.
