Splen Did was that he was actually a big scaredy cat. Mr. Spel Did HATED taking risks and was always in fear of losing his money. Actually, several times did he have to secretly file for bankruptcy as he would go broke. The people of Bounty County never knew and always thought of him as a rich and valiant hero. But he was scared of the dark, terrified of over cooked foods, and absolutely suffered from sciophobia, or fear of his own shadows. You see, Mr. Splen Did was also scared to let people know he was fearful of so many things, and so he masked this trait of his by acting as if taking risks were no big deal.
Well, the county fair was coming up in March and at the fair, Mr. Splen Did hosts a tradition of rolling a grand dice and whatever the number he landed on, Mr. Splen Did would take out times one thousand from the county’s one and only bank to invest in a stock of the county's choice. March was also the time that Mr. Splen Did increased his anti-anxiety pill intake.
