On Friday, April 28, 2017, at 10:45 a.m., the Investigator traveled to meet with Mr. Cliff Bakelman at Starbucks coffee at 2679 Tapo Canyon Rd. Semi Valley, CA 93063. The Investigator arrived at 11:50 a.m., for the12:00 p.m., appointment at the pre-designated meet location which was to be conducted outside in front parking space. At 12:05 p.m., a white Scion matching the description provided by Mr. Bakelman previously drove up to a parking space in front of Starbucks. A male subject matching the description already given by Mr. Bakelman got out of the vehicle. He walked with a black cane and ambulated slowly with a cautious and deliberate gait towards our direction, before sitting down and claiming that his lower back and hip were hurting. …show more content…
According to Mr. Bakelman, the incident occurred on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Grape Valley foot massage parlor. Before Mr. Bakelman’s alleged loss, he claims he has no income after he went on State Disability on April 8, 2017. His personal physician placed him on full disability due to his bipolar manic depression disorder. Before his disability, he worked full time for ISU Insurance, as a licensed Insurance Agent. He sold personal lines insurance over the phone at an hourly salary of $19.00 per hour, with full medical health and dental insurance through Blue Shield of California. He suffered injuries from the car crash to his bilateral shoulders, arms, back, hip. He alleges he fractured his left hip from the car accident, but claims that the doctor incorrectly diagnosed him with only having soft-tissue damage. There were no surgeries and only received physical therapy. He claimed he received a monitory award of $4,000.00. Ever since the accident, he continues to have pain and discomfort from the crash.
