Conduct a needs analysis of the two ELLs, Maria, and Mikhail. What do you know about their backgrounds? What are their current levels of English language development?
The two ELL students that Mr. O’Malley is currently teaching in his sixth grade English class are both Maria and Mikhail. Maria to begin with has been in the English class for about five months since she joined Mr. O’Malley’s English class. Then, she did not know how to communicate with English in any way, and unfortunately, Mr. O’Malley did not speak her native language too. It was thus extremely difficult for her to communicate with anyone. All that the two used in the form of communication is non-verbal forms of communications like nodding when agreeing to something. The individual decisions of the Marshall court were partially influenced by judicial nationalism, as evidenced by the cases McCulloch vs. Maryland, Cohens vs. Virginia, and Fletcher vs. Peck. Under the leadership of Chief Justice John Marshall, in the McCulloch vs. Maryland case in 1819, the Supreme Court ruled that states could not impose a tax on the Bank of the United States' currency. In doing so, he upheld Hamilton's implied powers, and thus allowing for the federal government to act according to a loose and adaptable constitution. The constitution would be interpreted by the people's will at the time, not a strict, unmoving interpretation. Present America governed itself with a set of rules, free to make its own decisions.…

Core Psychological Concepts Paper John Seymour EDPS 457 10/14/17 The problem I would like to work on for my CPC paper is concerning ELL students. You are teaching in a public school with a large number of ELL (English Language Learners) in your classroom.
