Mr. Muto is a 70-year-old man with a history of severe osteoarthritis of the right knee. He was an avid marathon runner until about 10 years ago when his right knee troubles started after a bike accident. 5 years ago, Mr. Muto underwent a right knee Meniscectomy and has been getting Corticosteroid injections every 6 months for the last 3 years. He states that his right knee pain and stiffness has been bothering him more and that the two injections he received in the past year did not help. Based on the recent MRI, I recommended that Mr. Muto get a total right knee replacement. He said that, he has been thinking about asking me about total knee replacement and that a close friend who underwent the same procedure recommended it. He also said
