Grape enlisted in the military after high school; however, he was quickly dishonorably discharged for reasons he refused to disclose. His employment history was unstable and consisted of primarily hands-on labor jobs that were relatively brief. Mr. Grape was also employed as a part-time substance abuse counselor; however, he never obtained the formal training necessary to hold this position in an official capacity.
Mr. Grape’s employment history was interrupted by numerous brief periods of jail detention, as well as five extended prison sentences. He reported over two dozen arrests with almost as many convictions. His numerous charges included motor vehicle violations, multiple substance-related offenses, shoplifting, resisting arrest, possession of a weapon, aggravated assault, burglary, fraud/forgery, terrorist threats, several violations of parole and probation, and nonpayment of child support.
Mr. Grape has never been married. He has fathered seven children from four different relationships. He admitted he has had little involvement with six of his children. He has been in a relationship for the past 5 years, most of which he has been incarcerated. His most recent child was the result of his current
